Disassembled my good old T60 whose display isn't stable anymore. The right hinge is physically broken. I have no idea to which replacement part this belongs.

From support.lenovo.com/in/en/solut I guess it's part of the "Clear plate kit", but who knows...

@LittleAlex@chaos.social Just soldering. Everything else is done via the simh simulator running on the Raspberry Pi.

Search for "PiDP-8" and see

and YouTube instructions.

It's a very nice present someone gave you. Respect.

Downgraded the 3B+ back to a 3B in my because the 3B+ needs too much power and struggles at boot. The 3B I used during prototyping had broken wifi and when I replaced it last minute I thought more is better. Silly me.

Probably my last take on this.

I'm late in consuming this week's news/shows but seeing Stephen Colbert, Trevor Noah and Seth Meyers smile like deeply happy people made me aware of my own relief. Nothing is fixed yet, but it's still such a huge pleasure.

I will miss their voice imitations of that last 4 years' guy but not the one they imitated.

Primary company: Microprocessor Systems.

I found early homecomputers called "Pravetz-8A/8C/8D/8M/82", later 80s IBM compatible "Pravetz-16" (like CM-5508, SPS-AT-256), and professional business computers (ISOT-1036C, EC-1035, ISOT-CM-1604).

"Pravetz 8D" was an Atmos clone with a variant called CM630.

"Pravetz 8C" was an clone.

Let's collect pictures...

Some were censored.
Some were just silly.
All are fun.

@oppen I would love to have an option in Ariane to always show inline images, without even the need to longpress. Would that be possible?

I love the overall feeling of with but I have to admit, I'm missing the world full of imagery.

Thanks, also if the answer is No.

Atari Super Breakout - Operation, Maintenance and Service Manual.

That whole manual is an æsthetic masterpiece, not just this gorgeous front page.

The document mixes electronics diagrams, mechanics exploded-view drawings, gameplay screenshots, and bell-bottoms.

They don't do these kinds of manuals anymore.

Wikipedia says:

The [Atari] XEGS release was backed by new games [...] plus cartridge ports of older games, such as [...] Lode Runner (Brøderbund, 1983).

That would probably make Lode Runner a very different experience when I can shoot around with that XG-1 light gun.

And given that searching for Atari Lode Runner brings up a lot of Blade Runner pictures that would only be fair.

But I guess they didn't took that chance.

@mdhughes I'm still not friend with the XE style.

So much that it even keeps me from buying an ST from where they borrowed the look although I remember the ST *feeling* more high-grade (not sure if that's actually a true memory).

On the other side I'm still stopping on every 800 when I see one on ebay and think about it.
